“Estamos bregando a que Invías no nos incumpla con la posibilidad de que pueda terminar la vía desde el aeropuerto hasta la avenida Pedro Tafur, hoy ya nos dictaminó que solo tiene 19 mil millones de pesos y que nos faltan 10 mil millones para poderla terminar”, precisó Jaramillo.
Agregó que se golpearán las puertas del Gobierno nacional para el adicional y dejó en claro que los propietarios de los lotes cumplieron con la entrega de los terrenos que estarían avaluados en 15 mil millones de pesos.

No obstante, durante su intervención ayer en la Asamblea, el Alcalde hizo una dura crítica por la centralización de los recursos y mal reparto de los mismos por el Gobierno nacional.
“Aquí tenemos que entender una situación cómo vamos a defender este territorio, cómo vamos a defender las regalías que escasean todos los días y no estar arrodillados ante el virreinato de Bogotá y con una totuma solicitando unos recursos que no son del Estado central que son de todos los contribuyentes y ciudadanos colombianos para que sean repartidos más equitativamente y justamente, cuando este departamento y especialmente Ibagué ha sido vetada de casi todos los programas importantes que han habido en la historia”, manifestó Jaramillo.
Así mismo indicó que a pesar de que Ibagué era plan piloto para la financiación del Sistema Estratégico de Transporte hoy “ya no lo es, no nos han hecho un Conpes y hemos estado solicitándolo por todos los mecanismos posibles”.
Acto seguido agregó “no podemos seguir estando subsistiendo de esos recursos mínimos del predial o del impuesto de industria y comercio en los municipios mientras la gran torta está a nivel nacional y no se reparte adecuadamente para el beneficio y las necesidades básicas insatisfechas de todas estas regiones y departamentos”.
